St. Giles The Abbot: St. Giles Centre

St. Giles Centre is situated in Church Road about 150m from St. Giles Church.

The building was erected on this site in 1971 to replace the Annex, which was burnt down close to what is now the Garden of Remembrance.

The original purpose of the Centre was exclusively for church-related use but in 1986 an extension was built to provide an additional room, toilets and a small kitchen.

There are now two rooms- one large and one small - and in addition to continued use for church-related activities (Sunday School, Mothers’ Union, Meetings, Coffee Mornings etc), the Centre is used by a Nursery Group, Rainbows, Brownies, Weight Watchers as well as some casual bookings.

To enquire about possible hire of the Centre for children’s parties, Baptism celebrations, meetings etc. (not Sunday evenings). Please apply to Parish Office at St. Nicholas Church.   One off and long-term bookings are welcome.
